Installation
The installation phase within the coffee cultivation process encompasses land preparation and the establishment of coffee seedlings. A coffee plant can take around three to four years to mature and yield cherries suitable for harvesting.
Sustainment
The sustainment phase in coffee cultivation involves ongoing care and maintenance of the coffee plants to ensure optimal growth and productivity. This includes tasks such as regular irrigation, fertilization, pest and disease management, as well as pruning and canopy management to promote healthy development and sustainable yields.
Harvest
The harvest phase in coffee cultivation involves the selective collection of ripe coffee cherries, either by hand or using machinery. Timing is crucial to ensure optimal flavor. After harvesting, the cherries undergo processing to extract the coffee beans for further production
Dry and Wet Process
In the washed process, coffee cherries are pulped to remove the outer skin and pulp, then fermented in water to break down the remaining mucilage before being washed and dried. This method results in cleaner and brighter coffee beans
